Trip to America

Trip to America

I kept my promise of waiting 5 months, didn’t I?

Not too long ago, I went to America to see some family and to have some fun at Universal! So, I got up at 2:30 in the morning to catch a taxi and go to Heathrow Airport.

Heathrow Terminal 3 entrance.

Finally, we arrived at Terminal 3. Finding the entrance wasn’t too difficult, so we checked in and made it through security without a hitch.

Shortly after waiting a few hours in the terminal, enjoying a meal at the Curator restaurant, we set off to our gate and got on the plane.

The plane we went on.

As soon as it touched down, we left LAX, found our next taxi and drove to Universal Studios Hollywood. But we weren’t going there just yet, because it was 4 in the afternoon and we all needed a jet-lagged sleep.

The view out of the hotel room.

The next day, however, we were half-awake and prepared for the craziness of Universal. Okay, maybe we booked to go on Memorial Day, but nothing was gonna stop us.

The crazy busy Universal Main Street!

On the first day, we bought the Early Access Pass for Nintendo World and went straight down there as fast as we could.

Nintendo World at 9am.

After we thoroughly enjoyed Nintendo World, we went straight to the other parts of Universal’s Lower Lot, and found the Jurassic World ride. And then rode it, which made me shake a lot.

Next, we went on the Mummy ride, which was okay, but it went very quick, very fast! Then we ate food at the Toadstool Café, that was fairly decent but nothing to rave about. I had the Fire Flower Spaghetti.

After a long day at Universal, we went back to the Sheraton Hotel, and had a nice long sleep. Well, if you consider 4 hours long, haha.

We basically did the same thing that we did yesterday, minus Nintendo World, and plus the Upper Lot. We went to the Hogwarts section and went on the Simpsons Ride, which didn’t feel like, well, much happened (because it was a 3D ride).

After that, we rode the Studio Tour and had a great time. The earthquake simulator was especially cool, and I did enjoy the other movie references.

After a long trip to Universal, we decided we needed to rest.

See you soon!
